
Paulina Pikiewicz – sound artist: documentary and radio drama author, sound designer, podcaster, journalist, illustrator, and creator of sound installations. She is a PhD student at the Institute of Musical Arts of the University of Silesia, specializing in sound production. She lectures at the Academy of Music in Katowice.
She graduated in philosophy from the Jagiellonian University and in film and television production management from the Univeristy Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski in Krakow. Graduate of radio directing at the Wajda School and the Polish Radio Theatre.
She is the co-founder and general manager of the online Radio Klang and the Kulminacja Foundation, which promotes sound art. As a radio presenter, she has collaborated with Polish Radio Program 2, Polish Radio Katowice, the Polish Radio Theatre, and Radio Kapitał, among others. As a radio play creator, she has collaborated with the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of Tychy, Katowice City of Gardens, the Silesian Museum in Katowice, the National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), and the Katowice Department of Sound, among others. As a journalist, she regularly contributes to the contemporary art magazine “Glissando.” Organizer and initiator of numerous events in the field of sound culture and art, including the Katowice Dialogue Festival and the public listening to the socially engaged reportage “Miasto-czucie”
