Part I: it’s pouring (19.11.22)

Yo, yo, yo! We invite you to listen to the coverage from PTG ON 2022, which took place in Katowice for three days in August. Paulina Pikiewicz, with a Radio Klang microphone, followed the skateboarding event: she interviewed the riders, recorded board cracks, and obstacle assembly. All this to capture the skateboarding passion—expressed not only by skateboarders but also by graffiti artists and non-skating audiences. This is the first part of the coverage; the next part will air on November 26th (Saturday). The coverage was created thanks to the Kulminacja Foundation and Katowice City of Gardens as part of the Microgrants program. The graphics use photos by Krzysztof Łazik.

And boom! Listen to part 2 of the report from the PTG ON 2022 skateboarding competition. This time, it’s a sound collage through which Paulina Pikiewicz will build a skater trance experience for you. The inspiration for this experiment comes from the competitors’ comments recorded during day 2 of the event, on the roof of the Super Sam in Katowice.
